How many of my contacts will you call?
We will call all the contacts you have listed in your account profile.
Can I list more than one phone number for each contact in my profile?
Yes. You can list a home phone number, a work number, and a cell phone number for each contact.
Who will you call first?
We will call your contacts in the order you list them in your account profile.
How fast will you call my contacts?
We will call immediately after we have all the necessary information about your emergency and assist the first responders who called us. Depending on the amount of data in your profile, this may take approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
What if you can’t reach anyone?
We will leave a voice mail message if your contact does not answer. Then we will send a text message to their cell phone if you have provided that number in your profile.
Will my personal information be kept private and secure?
Yes, absolutely. ECS’s information systems utilize the highest security measures available today. We fully understand your privacy demands and take every precaution to ensure your peace of mind. For more information see our Privacy and Security Statements.
What information will you give to my contacts about my emergency?
We will report what happened — when it happened — where it happened — and the name and location of the medical facility treating you.
Who will you give my medical information to?
We will only provide your medical information to authorized emergency medical personnel such as EMS, paramedics, rescue responders, physicians and nurses.
Is Emergency Call Service HIPAA compliant?
Our national call center is HIPAA compliant. ECS corporate is not required to be HIPAA compliant. ECS is not a covered entity or a related third party entity under HIPAA regulations.
What if I lose my ID card?
We will replace a lost ID card for a nominal fee. You may also purchase additional cards.
How do I update my emergency profile information?
Simply sign in to your account at this web site and make changes any time. Your information will be updated immediately.
How do I cancel my plan?
You may cancel your plan here.
Can other members of my family enroll in the plan?
Yes. Other family members (spouse/partner, children, seniors) may enroll. Instructions are provided on your company page when you enroll here.
